Junior Entrepreneurs Wanted!

Junior Achievement of Montana wants to know who your favorite Junior Entrepreneur is!  We are asking you to share your nominations with us so that we know what our local young business people are doing.  Below is a nomination form, asking for basic contact information.   We will contact your nominee to interview them about their business, and for possible inclusion in our Junior Entrepreneur Showcase on November 14th. 

JA Volunteers Get Hands Wet for Kids!

Many thanks to our great classroom volunteers Roger and Jessica Miller for pulling together two great car wash events, one in Billings and one in Bozeman!  A special thanks to NBC Montana for coverage of the event.  Check out their website to see a wonderful picture of a very young volunteer helping out.  The car washes each raised enough to add a class in their community. 

Susan Gibson coming to Bones Brewing!

Susan Gibson will be performing live at Bones Brewing as a fund and fun raising event for Junior Achievement programs in Billings.  The event will be Thursday, August 30th, 7pm.  Comedianne Lisa Woodward and young artists will also join in the entertainment.  A $5 cover charge will go towards economic education programs in the Billings community.

Sounds of Comfort Concert In Bozeman Nov. 16th

Please join us for the Sounds of Comfort concert in coordination with the annual Festival of Trees, on behalf of our musical entrepreneurs.  The concert will jointly benefit Junior Achievement of Montana, Notes of Comfort, and Liberty Place.  The concert is sponsored by First Security Bank

JA is Hiring in Billings!

Junior Achievement of Montana is in the process of hiring a half time Program Coordinator to support and expand economic education programs in the greater Billings area.  Applications are being accepted through October 15th, 2011.  The application process and job description are attached.  Please pass the news to anyone who might be interested.  For more information contact the state office at 582-1828 or jamontana@bridgeband.com.

JA Benefit Concert - Susan Gibson @ Bones

Please join us for a benefit concert by award-winning artist Susan Gibson at Bones Brewing this coming Wednesday, August 3rd, at 7pm, with doors opening at 6pm.  Susan is best known as the songwriter for the Dixie Chicks "Wide Open Spaces" and as the 2009 West Texas Music Hall of Fame Entertainer of the Year.  Tickets are $5 at the door, with all proceeds going to support Junior Achievement economic education programs in Billings schools, teaching our kids about business and money.

JA Raising Program Funds Through Macy's Shop For A Cause

Junior Achievement of Montana is participating in Macy's Shop For A Cause.  Just send $5 to JA of Montana, along with the form attached here, and all the proceeds will go to JA of Montana.  JA will email you a Shopping Pass, which will provide you with  a 25% discount on August 27th, at any Macy's store, or online.  Find the magic of giving back.  You can save while helping teach kids to save and enter to win a $500 Macy's Gift Card.
