Junior Achievement of Montana

Junior Achievement is a partnership between the business community, educators and volunteers working together to inspire young people to dream big and reach their potential. JA’s hands-
on programs teach the key concepts of work readiness, entrepreneurship and financial literacy. Junior Achievement of Montana provides economic education to students in schools
and youth programs from kindergarten through high school age throughout Montana. We are dedicated to preparing Montana students for the future.

Junior Achievement (JA) programs help prepare our young people for the real world by showing them how to generate income and effectively manage it, how to create jobs which make their communities more robust,
and how to apply entrepreneurial thinking to the workplace. Students put these lessons into action and learn
the value of contributing to their community. JA’s unique approach allows trained community volunteers to deliver fun, age-appropriate curricula while sharing their real world experience with students.

Our classroom volunteers transform the key concepts into a message that inspires and empowers students
to believe in themselves, showing our kids that they can make a difference in the world. We accomplish this
by sending trained volunteers from the community into classrooms to serve as role models and share their expertise. They utilize integrated, sequential and age-appropriate curricula that help young people use information, apply basic skills, think critically and solve complex problems.

Students often attest that the knowledge and practical skills they have gained through participation in JA provide a foundation of life-long tools for future success.
