Dodgeball
Tournament – Fun and
Fundraising to support Junior Achievement economic education
programs in Southwest Montana.
A Young Entrepreneur Showcase at the event will demonstrate
the entrepreneurial talents of local youth.
Students interested in participating should fill out a
nomination form on the website at www.jamontana.org.
When
and Where: January 23rd,
9am at Chief Joseph Middle School.
Teams will be 6-8 players, and there must be a minimum of
two team members of either sex registered.
Players must be 14 or older as of the tournament date.
Early
Registration Deadline December
18th, 2009. All
teams registered by December 18th will receive TWO free
raffle tickets per team member for fabulous door prizes.
Teams must register no later than January
9th, 2010 in order to participate.
The tournament will follow official dodgeball rules (www.dodgeballusa.com/rules.html)
Team
Registration: Three
options are available -

Team
Pledges
– each team member must collect $50
or more per team member to participate.
Pledges must be turned in the day of the tournament.
All pledges are tax deductible and a receipt will be
provided following the event.
Team prizes will be awarded for those teams raising the
most funds in categories such as university, banking/finance,
information technology, and chamber member.

- $300 per team,

- $500 per team,
includes registration and recognition at the event, in thank
you ads and promotional materials, and display of banners (if
provided).

All
funds raised will go towards Junior Achievement economic education
programs in local classrooms in Bozeman, Belgrade, Livingston and
the surrounding rural areas.
Teams
must submit a team registration form by the above deadlines, along
with a team fee or corporate team fee, unless collecting pledges. Those teams collecting pledges must turn in pledges at
tournament check in. Those
registering their team by the December deadline will receive TWO
raffle tickets per team member, those by the January deadline will
receive one raffle ticket per team member.
Each
team member must turn in a completed waiver form at tournament
check in. Those team
members who are under the age of 18 on the date of the tournament
must have the signature of a parent or guardian.
Team members should also bring identification –
substitutions may be made with permission, assuring that the rule
of two team members of either sex per team is maintained.
Teams must check in as a team no later than 8:45am the day
of the tournament.
Category
Prizes
– Teams collecting pledges must select ONE category.
There must be at least three teams in that category, and
the winning team will be awarded team prizes such as free lunch,
or a free coffee break. Teams
paying fees with multiple teams per company or organization may so
indicate on their forms, or may collect pledges in addition to
their team fees in order to compete for a category prize.
