My name is Shelley Laakso and I have been involved with JA for 6 years. I have taught many grade levels but my favorite is 2nd grade. The students learn voting, assembly line production vs unit production, and who pays taxes. These kids are so smart and insightful I learn something new from them everytime I enter the classroom. Courtney has been both a volunteer for the board as well as in the classroom for many years. She loves teaching children about the free enterprise system, workforce readiness and how the world operates. Courtney enjoys thinking of new ideas to champion the young entrepreneurs as well as enable them to continue to grow.
